Uttoxeter Ghost Walk
Sunday 30th November 2025 5pm & 7pm
Our Ghost Walks are back for 2025!.
Do you know the story of the spectral soldiers in Balance Street or the macabre use of the Town Hall. Do you say “hello” to a ghost every time you visit the bank? Join us for an evening walk featuring the spookiest places in Uttoxeter, stories of the paranormal and strange goings on.
At the conclusion of the walk we will return to Redfern’s Cottage for complementary hot drink and cake in the museum café.
The walk will start and end at Redfern’s Cottage and is approximately 1 mile in length over paved, mostly flat ground.
Please note this is a repeat of the ghost walk we have held in previous years.
£10 per person – Includes drink and cake. This is a ticket only event with pre-booking of tickets required. To book your place please email events@redfernscottage.org (or click the button below). Alternatively you can pop into the museum or phone us (01889 567176) during our opening hours.
Memories of Uttoxeter – A Surprise

This month to mark our final event of the year we have a bit of a surprise for you all. John Cooper will be sharing some of his films of Uttoxeter with us. Come along and see what films we have to show you. You are most welcome to bring photographs and items relating to Uttoxeter and to share their stories with us.
This is a free to attend event no prebooking is required.

See our new temporary exhibition at Redfern’s Cottage, The History of Uttoxeter in 25 Objects. Exclusively at Redfern’s Cottage!
Discover the 6000 year story of a town shaped by its environment and built by the people who call it home. Curated by our volunteer archivists and inspired by Neil Macgregor’s “History of the World in 100 Objects” from the British Museum we have selected 25 objects from our museum’s collection to tell the story of Uttoxeter. This exhibition tells the remarkable story of Uttoxeter from Prehistoric flint tools to a modern JCB.
This temporary exhibition at Redfern’s Cottage until the end of September. Entry is included in normal £3 museum ticket (accompanied under 16s free)
